S'more Cake {recipe swap} Leftover Halloween Candy

2 Recipes in one week!  This one followed up our awesome Sunday dinner.  Recipe for that can be found here.  It was the perfect pairing for a cold, crisp first day of daylight savings.  Quick and easy, as we had soccer, chores and were finishing the One Room Challenge.

Perfect for Halloween leftovers!

S’mores Cake

1/2 Cup butter, softened
3/4 Cup sugar
1 Egg
1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
1-1/3 Cups all-purpose flour
3/4 Cup graham cracker crumbs
1 Teaspoon baking powder
1/8 Teaspoon salt
4 Milk chocolate candy bars
(or enough 8-10 leftover Halloween snack size candy bars)
1 Cup marshmallow cream (aka Fluff)

In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar til’ light and fluffy.  Beat in egg and vanilla.  Combine the flour, cracker crumbs (reserve a 1/2 cup for topping), baking powder and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture.

Press mixture into a 9-inch square baking pan.  Place candy bars over mixture (as shown) and then spread marshmallow cream over candy bars.  Crumble remaining graham cracker crumbs over top.

Bake at 350* for 25 minutes or until golden brown.  Cool, cut and enjoy!  Store in an airtight container.

Thanks for visiting!
