Five on Friday (what I'm pinning, loving lately}

1.)  Perfect Beach Days

2.)  These Wings...

3.)  This Wall Color...

I am seriously considering this for our dining room.  Check out Whaling City Cottage for my favorite of the One Room Challenge rooms!

4.)  This French Onion soup.

Check out the recipe here.

5.)  This Bathroom.

Have a great weekend!

Five on Friday {Easter + Menu}

Happy Easter Weekend!

1. These boys are getting too big, too fast.

2. We went to St. Andrews on Saturday for an amazing Easter egg hunt, pancake breakfast and overall party.  They had 10,000 candy-filled eggs hidden for the kids and 4H was displaying the biggest of bunnies!

3. My husband is a police officer and out of work recovering from shoulder surgery, so he is growing a normally-not-allowed beard.  I'm on the fence about it, although I love it with the tam.

4. Have you checked out the goodness going on over at Calling it Home?!  It's One Room Challenge time again...and between the designers and linking participants, it's all sorts of fabulous.  Check out my entry as I breeze (struggle) through 6 weeks on a limited budget and a broken husband.  You can see it here.

5. What are your Easter plans?  We will spending a quiet day at home after church and a backyard egg hunt.

Our Easter Menu

Appetizers
Cheese and Charcuterie Board
Hummus + Chips
Shrimp Cocktail
Deviled Eggs

Dinner
Baked Spiral Ham
Roasted Asparagus
Succotash

Dessert
Double Chocolate Brownie
Fruit Salad

Wishing everyone a lovely holiday weekend!

Thanks for visiting!

Five on Friday

We are relishing the last bits of summer here on the Jersey Shore.  It's been a mixed bag, but this upcoming weekend is supposed to be gorgeous...sunny and in the low 80's.  Orange Cream custard from Kohr's is a must!

Granted, we don't get out much anymore, but a breathalyzer machine in a bar?  Between that and the Grateful Dead cover band, I felt old(and judgmental)!

I've been trying to lose about 20 pounds.  When strategic posing doesn't cut it anymore, it's time to lay off the snacks and fattening coffee drinks...This is my typical soccer mom uniform...

We are combining our boys birthday and having one big party next weekend.  We've historically had Halloween-themed family parties.  This time we are throwing a "friend" party under the premise of a front yard tailgate.  All sports, all the time.  About 45 minutes into the party the video game truck is going to roll up!  They are going to be so excited!  There are a few girls coming too (yuck!), so am going to set up a craft table for them...

So despite the fact that it's not going to be a Halloween party, I've full-on decorated the house!  I will be sharing my Halloween decor next week...

It's fun...

Thanks for visiting!

PS ~ My eyes are so puffy from last nights game...there IS crying in baseball.  Thank you Captain...

5 on Friday

It's some kind of January on the Jersey Shore, with no end in sight...

Pretty start to a Nor'Easter.

Finished the boys playroom and our summer kitchenette.  Full post can be found here.  Will be styling it shortly...

This is how you shop clearance + Ebates.  Banana pieces would have been $150 full price.

Fun Peplum sweater from said sale...perfect for casual snow days.

Booked our Spring trip to Chicago.  First time hubs and I will have been away alone since 2008.  Can't wait to show him the city and all it has to offer.

One for the road...Thank goodness he doesn't mind playing in the snow.  My toes prefer sand.
