Party's over...

Back to reality!  I've taken a birthday break over the past 10 days.  I've got amazing family and friends who spoil me.

Mother nature doesn't care for me much though...

more snow.

fun times with friends.

ducks and time spent by the river.

St. Patricks day fun.

Now it's time for clean-eating, meal planning + cooking, spring outfits, garden prep, Easter fun, painting and more room projects.  I hope to keep myself accountable here.

Weekend {a little late}

Snowed in

Homemade blueberry muffins and fruit

Made split pea soup with ham and homemade croutons {recipe later this week}

Also, tomato and fresh herb sauce with hot & sweet sausage.  Did not make healthy resolutions easy being snowed in with such hearty food...  Started fresh yesterday morning.

By Saturday afternoon, I had a roaring snow-glare headache.

We started to tackle our playroom clean UP and OUT.  This may or may not be part of my One Room Challenge room this year.  If it is, it will encompass the playroom powder room, as well...

Weekend...

Started acquiring Christmas mantel 2013 decorations...I'm switching it up this year. Very excited!

2 more weeks of Saturday morning soccer....bittersweet.

Chilly am led to a 70+ degree day. Sweat for most of it, including at Costco and the jam-packed Christmas Tree Shoppes. It was mayhem in the Christmas aisles.

Made this freaking ridiculously awesome sauce today. Recipe on blog Monday...

Took an exploratory trip to La Z Boy. I miss our old couch (that we sold with our house). We bought cheap when we moved and are paying dearly now. La Z Boy really makes an amazing product, it's evident when you sit on it. May be worth the investment...

After Christmas!

Tomorrow will be more soccer, more cooking and getting my one room challenge room done, I am really falling behind...

I've dropped the ball on her dining room. We need window treatments, lighting and accessories. After....the one room challenge.  I've got a lot to work with though...
