Back-to-School Must Haves {For Mom}

A few of my favorite things...

Molton Brown Rose Granati Hand Wash & Lotion.  Smells heavenly.  I keep in it the master bath (too expensive to share) and use them before bed for some sleepytime aromatherapy ~ it's that delicious!

Hue Jeggings in midnight rinse.  PERFECT for boot season.  Get a couple of pairs, they will fade eventually, but so worth it.  Extremely comfortable and surprisingly warm. They also come in assorted fabrics + colors.

Extreme coffee/caffeine addiction = Crest 3D White Strips

My go-to basic moisturizer for almost 25 years (holy cow, I'm dating myself).  My mom, grandmother, aunts all use(d) Clinique dramatically different and have beautiful skin.  I have yet to pinpoint a fave eye cream, I am all over the place.  From Estee Lauder and Kiehls to La Prairie and Lancome.  Any Suggestions for eye cream...day or night?

J.Crew Signature Leggings.  Pricey, but made well, with a wider waistband, and they last forever.  The last pair I had to part with was 3 years old, worn and washed thrice weekly...that can tell you how long-lasting they are.

Nordstrom Brass Plum BP Cami's.  BUY ONE IN EVERY COLOR AND SIZE DOWN!!  Made for Summer, I even layer them with everything in the Fall & Winter.  Sucks me in and smooths me down!

Straight-up natural astringent.  No need for pricey toners & potions.
I'm not a daily, heavy make-up wearer, but I will curl and mascara my lashes.  The Shu Uemura lash curler is THE best.

What are your favorite staples?  Please share, I'd love to hear some tips about new products and brands?

Thanks for visiting!

Heavenly Scent

If you ever see this product, smell it and you will be in love. Molton Brown Rose Granati is a party for your nose! I have purchased the hand soap twice in my life, as it is a luxury ($$$) I keep hidden in the master bath. At $25 dollars for the soap (and $25 for the lotion and $30 for the room spray), it is pricey, but a treat. Neiman Marcus, who basically offers free shipping all of the time now, is prob the best place to buy, as the Molton Brown website charges for shipping. Just sharin'.......

Product Endorsement & a tip!

I like to use this blog for sharing bits & pieces of our home and home *stuff* I love, but I need to give props to a beauty product that is working overtime for me this holiday season.

MAC Fast Response Eye Cream is AWESOME!!! At first I wasn't impressed...ok, it was a great base for makeup, but as time wore on I did notice a tightening of my lids especially...With the lack of sleep, hydration and some stress this holiday season, I need all the help I can get!

MAC's description of their product: The super-charged, caffeinated cream with instant effects. De-puffs, erases the look of dark circles, firms, soothes and softens skin around the eye. Special optics act like magic to fade away lines.

It can be used sparingly and for $30, is one of the more reasonably priced creams that I've seen on the market.

**ADDED BONUS**: If you spend $50 @ MAC Cosmetics, you can get your makeup done for free. I wait to stock up until I have a wedding or event, and by spending $30 on this product, $11 on fake lashes and a tin of shadow or a lip gloss~you are good to go! Just don't forget to give a little tip to your makeup artist! Enjoy!!
